人体病理学講座では病理診断業務と並行して、各種疾患の病因・病態の解明を目指した研究をしています。病理検体や培養細胞を用いた解析から新しい知見を発見し、かたちにすべく、日々努力しています。

甲状腺癌

甲状腺癌は内分泌臓器に発生する悪性腫瘍のなかでも頻度の高く、患者さんの数も世界的に増加しています。病理学的には、緩徐に進行し予後良好な乳頭癌、極めて悪性度の高い未分化癌、カルシトニンを産生する髄様癌とさまざまな組織型が存在します。人体病理学講座は開講以来、一貫して甲状腺癌の臨床病理学的・分子生物学的研究を主題とし、その成果を世界に向けて発信してきました。

現在は、以下の研究課題に取り組んでいます。
